Bulgarian students performed brilliantly at the Balkan Physics Olympiad. Our high school students won two gold and two silver medals at the competition, in which 56 participants from 9 Balkan and 5 visiting countries competed. The Olympics were held online from October 7 to 9, with Cyprus as the virtual host.
The gold medals were won by Margulan Ismoldaev from the Mathematics High School in Varna and Georgi Kostadinov from the Natural Mathematics High School in Burgas. Rumen Dimitrov from Sofia Mathematical High School and Geo Kalfov from the First Private Mathematical High School received silver awards.
Their leader of the Olympiad was Maya Zhekova from the Faculty of Physics of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
