Borislav Kirilov from the 12th grade is the only representative of the Bulgarian team that won a gold medal at the 63rd International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2022), held in attendance between July 6th and 16th, hosted by Oslo, Norway. 589 students from 104 countries took part in it, with the Bulgarian team in 16th place with 177 points and the following results:

  • Borislav Kirilov, Sofia, PCMH, 12th grade – 35 points, gold medal
  • Marin Hristov, Sofia, SMG, 10th grade – 33 points, silver medal
  • Martin Kopchev, Gabrovo, PMG "Acad. Ivan Gyuzelev", 12th grade - 30 points, silver medal
  • Ivan Tagarev, Sofia, SMG, 11th grade – 29 points, silver medal
  • Bozhidar Dimitrov, Silistra, PMG "St. Kliment Ohridski", 11th grade - 28 points, bronze medal
  • Nikola Tsachev, Sofia, PCMH, 11th grade – 22 points, certificate of honor
